Meet Reza, the CEO of new spin-out, Fraiya
Reza Razavi is a Professor of Paediatric Cardiovascular Science at King’s College London, and a Paediatric Cardiologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. We spoke to him about his latest career pivot to becoming CEO of Fraiya Ltd, a King’s spin-out developing AI-enabled pregnancy ultrasound technologies, which is currently part of the Venture Builder programme at the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering (LIHE).

LIHE resident company XARlabs’ mixed reality platform supports first-of-its kind surgery
XARlabs' pioneering mixed reality platform, simXAR, played a pivotal role in the successful separation of conjoined twins, performed by a surgical team from Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, in collaboration with a renowned Turkish hospital. This landmark surgery marks the first use of simXAR in such a complex medical procedure, demonstrating its immense potential in surgical planning and simulation.
